USAID Global Waters
Magazine and website design for USAID's water, sanitation, and hygiene knowledge platform.

Summary
Global Waters was USAID's platform for sharing its work in water, sanitation, and hygiene, known as WASH, with practitioners, partners, and the public around the world. Its magazine told the stories behind USAID's water programs, from expanding access to clean drinking water to improving sanitation and water resource management. The website served as a hub for news, research, and resources across the water sector. The audience ranged from technical experts to general readers, so the content had to be credible and data-rich while staying approachable and human.
I designed [issues of the magazine and pages/features for the website], turning technical program content into engaging editorial layouts. Each issue paired strong photography of the people and places affected by USAID's work with clear typography and data visualizations that made complex findings easy to follow. Across print and digital, a consistent visual system kept the brand recognizable while adapting each story to its format.
Outcomes
- Technical content made accessible. Clear layouts and visualizations helped a broad audience understand complex water sector work.
- Human stories at the center. Photography-led design kept the focus on the communities behind the data.
- One brand across channels. A consistent visual system connected the magazine and website into a single, recognizable platform.
